    Se Friendly URLs
Clean URLS (or browser's search engine friendly urls) are simply just that - readable, simple. You do not need clean urls inside a site architecture for Google to spider a website successfully, although I do use clean urls as the default these days, and have done so for some time. Is there a considerable difference in Google in case you use clean urls No, in my experience it is quite much a second or simply third order effect, perhaps even less, if used on it is actually own. EDIT: Recent observations I include made seem to indicate they can be more valuable in 2010. The thinking is which you might get a boost in Google SERPS if your primary URLS are clean - when you are using keywords while in the actual page name as an alternative for a parameter or IDENTITY number. Google might reward the page getting some relevance because of your file / page term. On it's own, this boost, in my experience can be virtually non-detectable. Where this benefit is definitely slightly detectable is once people (say in forums) backlink to your site with the url given that the link. Then it is fair to speak about you do get an improvement because keywords are with the actual anchor text hyperlink to your site, and I believe it is the case, but again, that depends on human eye the page linking to all your site - ie whenever Google trusts it therefore passes Page Rank (#(! ) and anchor written text relevance. And of course, you'll need citable material on that site connected with yours. Sometimes I will take away the stop-words from a url and leave the top keywords as the page title because plenty of forums garble a web link to shorten it. It should be remembered it can be thought although Googlebot may crawl sites with powerful URLs, it is assumed by many webmasters there's an easy greater risk that it is going to give up if a urls are deemed certainly not important and contain many variables and session IDs (explanation). Niklas Hobacher As standard, I use clean WEB ADDRESSES where possible on new sites currently, and try to keep your URLS as simple as possible , nor obsess about it. That's my aim all of the time when I seo : simplicity. DI Niklas Hobacher Be aware though - Google does check out keywords in the URL even within a granular level. Having a keyword with your URL might be the difference involving the site ranking and not - visit.
